Calling all Weight Watchers members! Are you regularly inspired and motivated by your Weight Watchers meeting? Do you want to shout from the rooftops about how fab it is? This is your chance to tell us how you and your meeting play the weight loss game and win. Plus entering the competition puts you in the running to win an extra-special treat for you and everyone at your meeting!

‘Meeting of the Month’ is our exciting new competition, where we celebrate the outstanding group achievements of our Leaders and Members. Each month, we will showcase a different meeting by posting its inspirational story here, on our Play Weight Watchers blog.

The winning meeting will not only be awarded with the prestigious accolade of ‘Meeting of the Month’, but also with a very special treat for members, such as beauty treatments, professional photoshoots, or even a surprise visit from one of the celebrities we sometimes team up with.

In addition, one meeting per region will be awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ status for their achievements. This will automatically enter them into the following month’s pool of nominations so they get another chance to win the monthly prize. At the end of the year, we will crown one of our monthly winners ‘2012 Meeting of the Year’, and make you all famous with your very own feature in Weight Watchers magazine.

How to enter the competition:

For the month of May only, we’re adding ‘moving more’ to the Meeting of the Month entry criteria.  Tell us in pictures and in words how your meeting is supporting / following the ‘Move More Manifesto’ for an additional chance to win this month’s reward.

Tell us in no more than 250 words why your meeting deserves to become ‘Weight Watchers’ Meeting of the Month.’ Here are some questions to consider when drafting your competition submission:

• What has been the overall weight loss achieved in your meeting this month?
• What has your Leader / a fellow Member done this month that has inspired you?
• What support have you received from your meeting that has exceeded your expectations?
• What activities have you taken part in through your meeting this month that sets it apart from other meetings?

Please email your submission, plus a maximum of five photos from the meeting (i.e. 1 x group shot of meeting, 1 x shot of Leader, 3 x candid photos of the Members in meeting) to the following email address:

All entries have to be submitted by the last day of the month, with the winner being announced on Facebook and on PlayWeightWatchers.co.uk within 14 days of the closing date. Don’t forget to keep coming back to this page to find out who the monthly winners are!

Terms and Conditions

• One meeting will be selected by Weight Watchers each month, from the information submitted to the email address above
• All information provided will be subject to verification by Weight Watchers.
• Please do not send any confidential information such as member weights / images of members on scales
• There is no limit to the number of meetings one member / leader can submit. A total of one winner will be chosen per month, with a further one meeting per region being awarded with a runners up, ‘Highly Commended’ status
• For the month of May only, tell us in pictures and in words how your meeting is supporting / following the ‘Move More Manifesto’ for an additional chance to win this month’s reward
• All candidates must be UK residents aged 18 years or over.
• Only applicable to candidates who attend Weight Watchers meetings.
• All entries have to be submitted by the last day of the month.
• Judging will take place on the first Monday of every month with the winners being announced on Facebook and the Play Weight Watchers microsite within 14 days of the closing date.
• Competition opens for entry submissions on 1st January 2012
• Winners will be selected by Weight Watchers and contacted within two weeks of the announcement to coordinate their prize.
• The Prizes: One meeting per month will win a ‘treat’ – such as beauty treatments or a professional photoshoot – for their meeting up to the value of £300
• Only the winners and runners up will be notified
• By submitting an entry form and photography, you are agreeing for all this content to be showcased both on Facebook and on the Play Weight Watchers website
• By submitting an entry form and photography, you are agreeing for all this content to be issued to your local / regional media and to Weight Watchers magazine
• No cash or other alternative in part or full will be offered in lieu of the specified prizes. Prizes are not transferable.
• By entering, participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the promoters reserve the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
• The promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or terminate this competition at any time due to circumstances beyond its control.
• The promoter’s decision is binding in all matters.
• The promoter can accept no responsibility for, and reserves the right to refuse, entries which are corrupt, incomplete, lost or damaged or fail to arrive by the closing date.
• DATA PROTECTION: Email addresses and personal information that are taken during this competition may be shared with a third party processor acting on the promoter’s behalf however they will only be used to contact participants in connection with the ‘Meeting of the Month’ competition. They will not be sold or used to inform participants of future Weight Watchers promotions.
